What we do

Quantitative risk, delivered as a product.

Six integrated capabilities - from data foundations to board reporting - built inside your environment, validated against your own history, and handed over for your team to own.

The capabilities

One system, six capabilities.

Each capability works on the same governed data and the same methodology - so the numbers a trader sees, the numbers a risk committee sees and the numbers an auditor sees are always the same numbers.

01

Unified data feed

Exchange feeds, positions, treasury, logistics and reference data assimilated into one auditable stream - documented lineage, enforced quality controls, latency SLAs.

02

Predictive risk indicators

Price, volatility, correlation and liquidity indicators computed continuously across the book - surfacing stress while it is still actionable.

03

Simulation & risk engines

Monte Carlo, historical and parametric engines for VaR and Expected Shortfall, CVA and counterparty exposure - production-ready, validated, documented.

04

Stress testing & scenarios

Regulatory and bespoke scenario libraries with P&L, limit and capital impact side by side - ready for ICAAP, OR and board questions.

05

Credit & capital models

Counterparty exposure, wrong-way risk and RORAC-based capital allocation that ranks every book by the capital it truly consumes.

06

Limits, liquidity & collateral

Enforceable limits, liquidity runway and collateral headroom with escalation rules leadership can actually act on.

Where we work

Markets we know first-hand.

Energy & power

Oil, gas and power books - voyage-linked exposure, storage options and the margin calls that come with them.

Metals & mining

Base and precious metals - LME-style exposure, warehouse risk and hedging across the curve.

Agriculture & softs

Seasonal cycles, weather-driven volatility and basis risk from farm to port.

Carbon & ESG

Compliance and voluntary carbon markets - policy-driven volatility priced and limited properly.

Freight & logistics

Route and tonnage exposure, demurrage schedules and the correlation between freight and cargo values.

Healthcare & life insurance

Portfolio risk, longevity and market risk for insurers - the same discipline, different instruments.

RiskOS

Many sources. One picture. Total control.

RiskOS is the commodity-facing face of the platform - the screen leadership and desks open every morning. It draws on the governed feed and the risk engines underneath and turns them into one enterprise operating picture, with exceptions ranked by severity instead of buried in reports.

One operating picture

Margin, cash, exposure and inventory reconciled on a single screen - trading, treasury and the refinery read the same numbers.

Exceptions, not dashboards

A ranked queue of what needs attention today, each with an owner and a quantified impact - instead of dozens of charts nobody opens.

Decisions, compared

Offers, hedges and cargoes priced side by side against the forward curve - the what-if is a click, not a spreadsheet week.

Every figure carries lineage

Any number traces to its source system, method and timestamp on demand - built for audit from day one.

Why we exist

We do not replace systems. We augment them.

No speciality data-and-risk firm existed for the commodities sector. Trading houses run on ETRM systems built to execute operations, not to feed analytics - so most firms suck the data out and try to model around them. The result is familiar: fragmented spreadsheets, numbers that disagree, and risk seen through a keyhole.

Our platform addresses that gap: it pulls data from every source - ETRM and CTRM platforms, market feeds, treasury, logistics - and assimilates it into one enterprise-wide picture of risk, then forecasts how that risk evolves. Your ETRM keeps running the business; our platform turns its data into decisions.

The analytics layer

Analytics you can audit.

Four engines turn portfolio data into decisions. Each carries its method, its calibration window and its validation result - because a number without lineage is just an opinion, and an audit never accepts one.

99%

Trade-level Value-at-Risk & Expected Shortfall

Every position - an FX forward, a rate swap, an equity book, an energy contract, an insurance portfolio - carries a live loss measure at 97.5% and 99% confidence, on 1-day and 10-day horizons, computed by full revaluation. Desks see their own book; leadership sees the firm.

Method full revaluation - Horizons 1d / 10d - Refresh intraday

Stress & scenario engine

Replay documented market dislocations - or your own worst historical period - across today's portfolio, then push further with forward-looking shocks across rates, FX, credit and spreads. Every scenario answers the two questions that matter: how much money, and which limits trip.

Paths 10,000 per run - Library 40+ scenarios, extensible - Output P&L + limit utilisation

Volatility & correlation surfaces

Implied volatility surfaces and cross-asset correlations fitted, arbitrage-checked and published from one calibrated source. Pricing, VaR and stress all read the same numbers - so desks, treasury and finance never run on divergent figures.

Counterparty exposure, CVA & capital

Counterparty exposure is simulated on full paths - not read off a collateral report - feeding CVA and wrong-way-risk per netting set. RORAC then ranks the portfolio: which books are earning their capital, and which are merely occupying it.

Exposure path-simulated - Netting per counterparty - Capital RORAC by desk
